Saguaro & Stone

Desert gardens, drawn with intent.

Design-only landscape practice for the Phoenix metro. Climate-honest plans, low-water plantings, and the right stone in the right place.

Approach

A garden that belongs to the desert it's in.

I'm Ryan, a Phoenix-based landscape designer. My work is design-only — I draw the plan, choose the plants and materials, and hand you a build-ready package. You bring in the installer you trust, or I'll recommend one.

The Sonoran has its own logic. Sun moves hard across a yard here, soils drain fast, and a plant that thrives in one wash will sulk fifty feet away. Every project starts with a site visit so the plan answers the actual ground, not a generic template.

The result is a garden that looks considered on day one and only gets better as it settles in.

Inspiration

Gardens I'm drawn to.

A growing collection of the plants, palettes, and moves that inform the work. Project photos will replace these as gardens are installed and grow in.

Process

Three steps, no surprises.

  1. 01

    Consult

A free half-hour conversation to understand the property, the use, and the appetite. If it's a fit, we schedule a site visit.

  2. 02

    Design

Two-week turnaround on a complete plan — scaled drawings, plant list with sources and sizes, hardscape detail, and one round of revisions.

  3. 03

    Deliver

A walkthrough of the plan so you know exactly what you're building. The package is yours to keep — install now or in phases.
